A Cookie is a small file downloaded to a website visitor’s computer that can store information about what pages are visited, usernames and other personalised information. From the 26 May 2011, any website storing cookies must ask users` consent BEFORE storing a cookie.
This is an amendment to The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and imposes a requirement on all website owners to act.
