British citizen Gary McKinnon will be extradited to the US to be tried for hacking into 97 US government computers including NASA and Pentagon in 2001 and 2002. Gary has Apserger`s Syndrome and became obsessed with the idea that the US was hiding alien technology that would produce limitless amounts free energy.
While Gary McKinnon is undoubtedly a fragile individual and should be treated with the utmost sensitivity, he should still face trial. Hacking is not a victimless crime and costs society millions in lost time, money and equipment.
