What is business email?
Business email uses your own domain name for your email address, i.e. yourname@yourdomain. The accounts that we setup provide storage for your email archive and optional additional tools.
As long as you own your domain name we can use it to setup email accounts. The domain name is usually an exact or close match to your business or trading name and gives you an effective communication tool that is easy to pass on to clients and prospects.
This is much more professional and builds more trust for business than using a free email account like Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail.
If you don’t already have a domain we can purchase one on your behalf or advise you on the best domain and Top Level Domain (TLD e.g. .com, .co.uk, .org etc) for your organisation.
As long as you have control over the Domain Name Settings (DNS) for a domain name it can be used for email.
What business email can we provide?
We can supply three main options for domain-based business email:
Web hosting email – email is sent and stored using your web hosting. This is often the cheapest option and can work for very small organisations or sole traders. It’s not recommended if email is a critical communication tool for your business.
Zoho Mail – secure Business Email by Zoho is a cost-effective and real alternative to Microsoft 365, Google Workplace. It is an Indian based email service that we are now authorised to re-sell to our clients. Taking the plunge with business email
Once you have decided to move away from using generic emails or a different email system we can help you with every stage of the process:
Setup of your domain for business email – we will need access to your domain name settings (DNS) or advise you of the settings to add or adjust to make your email work with the new email system.
Migration of existing email archive – you might want to start afresh or in most cases it is possible to migrate the existing email archive to your new business email account or folders. This can include contacts and even calendars.
Setup of new email accounts – your new emails can be used on various types and multiple email addresses. We will provide full instructions on setting up on mobiles, tablets, laptops and desktop PCs.
Setup and configuration of other tools and services – depending on your account we will setup and configure productivity tools like One Drive and collaboration tools.
